The last of seven portraits of Marleen in late 1970's
Metzler glasses. After perhaps five years, their first
owner had an increase in her myopia and she bought
a pair of Lentilux glasses, shown by Marleen in the
next series.
The Metzler glasses travelled into great heights last
year. Nel and I bivouaced halfway a high mountain in
Switzerland and the Metzler glasses were in her rucksack
in case her own -11 varifocals might present a problem
in steep terrain
