Petra 125

This beautiful portrait of Petra shows the great
advantage of Lentilux myodiscs over high index
glasses. No power rings, no cut in effect except
for the tiny spot next to her right eye.
In my view, opticians missed a great opportunity
to show the merits of Lentilux when it was invented.
If portraits like this had been available at the time,
Lentilux might have had more popularity among
clients. I was not aware of the invention until I saw
a German lady wearing them in Kufstein, Austria
in the late 1980's. I was too shy to pay her a well
meant compliment, but the images remained in my
head for a long time. It took another ten years before
I acquired the first Lentilux glasses in my collection.
Lentilux glasses have always remained white ravens
in the streets and they are now virtually extinct.
A pity!
