These glasses are early 1970's student style, but
I acquired them in a mountain area in the French
speaking part of Switzerland where demonstrations
were scarce compared with my student days in
Amsterdam. I worked in Switzerland for my masters
thesis during the mid 1970's and the difference between
Switzerland and Holland was immense. This was also
reflected in the glasses seen in the streets. I remember
first seeing many beautiful Christian Dior glasses in
Swiss opticians shop windows and also in the streets.
It took a couple of years before Dior conquered the Dutch
market as well. I have no idea if these student style glasses
shown by Nanda were really made in the 1970's of one,
perhaps two decades later
