Raindrops on the bamboo plant in the background
and Farishta "studying" the interesting brick work
at the side wall of my house. The power rings in the
lenses (Rx nearly -10) are mighty. It's all a matter
of taste, but in my opinion the effects of power rings
add much liveliness to the looks of glasses and their
owners. The beautiful big frames of the 1970's and
1980's were highly inspirational and looking back,
I sometimes wonder why it took me another 20 years
to write the song "Crystal Veil" in praise of all ladies
in glasses.

The present weblog is the visual counterpart of what
the song is about. Here is one verse:

"Whether minus eleven
or a gentle plus seven,
at daytime you play with illusion
while at night, no more bogus
with eyes out of focus
