The frame of these striking 1970's Lozza glasses
is fairly well designed to be equipped with strong
minus lenses - except for one detail. The abrupt
angle by the nose bridge causes a problem with
the -11.50 left lens which sticks out some 3 mm
at the back of the frame. Conny and Astrid who
posed in these glasses during their photo shoots
both commented that the sharp edge of the left lens
was very uncomfortable and they put the glasses
slightly down the nose to avoid the problem. The
first owner of the glasses must have encountered
the same problem, but given the fine condition of
both the preceding Metzler glasses and these fine
Lozza glasses, I suspect that she was a contact lens
wearer who only used her glasses in the evenings
