Glasses: Hadley (Linsey), 1990's, from the UK
[L: -2.75; c-0.50 v / R: -2.25; c-0.50 h / bif add 2.50]
Also featured in my photo shoots with Caroline and
Lettie, these bifocals were first owned by a lady who
could read well without her glasses. She probably
disliked having to swich constantly and she was right!
The reading segments are circle shaped and I have the
impression that this was more popular among ladies
in the UK than it was in Holland where bifocals with a
straight line were used almost exclusively. The circle
segment does have the advantage of being almost
invisible, but the straight line is easier to get used to.
