Needless to say I sang and played "Crystal Veil" for Nel the first
night we met. A friendly street musician gave me the loan of his
guitar when we met him in town. It was the first time in
28 years that I sang and played in the street, the previous
occasion being our queen's coronation in 1980. There were riots
in the streets of Amsterdam and my busker Nigel and I had to
run away twice when the violence came towards us.
Fortunately, 28 years later it was all the love and peace bit,
much like the innocent Amsterdam of 1967!
