In most cases, putting a year on an old pair of
glasses is an educated guess. Old catalogues of
glasses may be available here and there but they
are not accessible. However, these Piave glasses
were definitely made in 1975. I had a relation with
an art student who disliked her compact, brown
Bausch & Lomb glasses. A search in many optician's
shops convinced her that big frames were a great
match with her face and we ended up buying the
Piave glasses, in a pink & purple frame
