Farishta 443

Farishta in traditional "Kreislenti" myodiscs
acquired at the Amsterdam flea market in my
student days. Contact lenses were not available
during the cat eye era and as a child, I remember
seeing many girls and women wearing myodiscs
in the streets of Amsterdam. The three diopters
difference in the lens Rx (-17 / -14) may be an
indication that the first owner of these myodisc
glasses used the left eye for long distance view
and the right eye for reading. I have no memory
of seeing bifocal myodiscs in my youth
