Margriet 025

Margriet in hat and 1980's Da Vinci glasses. Note the
way the right lens produces a second image of the rim
of the big hat. This can never be achieved when models
are asked to pose in empty frames. Besides, what's the
point in trying out different frames if one does not see
properly through them? Some opticians have solved
that problem partially by using video tapes, but even
then the client has to fill in what she will look like when
the proper lenses are fitted in the frame of her choice.
This goes especially for higher myopes, but even at a
modest minus 3 to 4 correction the difference between
an empty frame and glasses in the proper Rx can be
called sigificant. Aside from sharing my collection with
the viewers of this weblog, this was the main reason
for starting this project
