Another fine portrait of Margriet in 1980's Da Vinci
glasses. The first time I was aware of Da Vinci was in
1983 when they made a number of greyish, rather
solid big frames. The frame modeled here by Margriet
is more subtle and I think it was made a few years later.
Perhaps a retired optician with a sharp memory may
throw light on the matter one day. It's surprisingly
difficult to find out more about who manufactured what
and when after a generation of competitive business in
the opticians' branche
