In the mid 1960's, these Rodenstock glasses were
almost invariably worn by brunettes. Blondes chose
orange frames like the "Conny" glasses shown by
Astrid in pictures 019-021 in this photo shoot. The
orange frames disappeared from the streets at the
same time as these "Maya" Rodenstock glasses when
flower power emerged in 1967/1968. Huge glasses
took over and they would dominate eyeware fashion
until the late 1980's.
