In the mid sixties, optician's shops were a simple
affair compared to what we encounter now.
Unisex was an unheared of phenomenon. There
were very few colour options for girls in need of
new glasses. For brunettes, the optician's advice
was invariably a brown or black frame. For blondes,
this orange colour was almost a must. I remember a
blonde class mate that dared to cross the border and
the comments she got from her peer group!
