Petra 239
"A level of understanding" were the first words
that sprang to my mind when seeing this great
portrait of Petra in 1990's Menrad glasses. It's
always an exciting moment when the camera is
emptied, the computer is filled and the slide show
of the resulting portraits is started.
Needless to say, I saw the pictures before, but only
in a fraction of a second before actually making the
photo. Enough to know basically what can be expected
from the posing and the spirit at the moment, but
not enough for an overall assessment. Of course there
is the tiny display and after a few dozen photos the
model's eyes are given a rest which is often used to
see the portraits on the display. Petra and I took a
half dozen short breaks during her photo shoot and
it's always great to hear the spontaneous reactions.
But the proof of the pudding is the slide show after
uploading the portraits. I was curious about this
particular portrait because I remembered the moment
so well - there was that level of understanding between
model and photographer. Great!
