Marleen 025
During the series of photo shoots for this weblog
I discovered that cylinders are far more critical
than a correct spheric strength is. Most of my
models can cope with glasses that are one or two
diopters off. Some models (Carla and Astrid spring
to mind) can take an extreme Rx difference and still
look perfectly natural, even in myodiscs. But there's
nothing so annoying as looking through lenses with
cylinders that are completely wrong and that's why
I always select the glasses for my photo shoots with
great care. Marleen told me that she needs new
glasses when the cylinders change only a fraction
and her glasses have to be adjusted perfectly to be
tolerated by her eyes. That's why I work quite fast
during photo shoots in general and this photo shoot
in particular. Marleen only had these glasses on for
about half a minute and she would switch back to her
own glasses after posing in one of the glasses shown
here. It's essential to give the eyes a rest and restoring
good view before trying out the next pair of glasses
