A special feature of these Sandia bifocals is the
rectangular shape of the reading segments. They
don't reach the low part of the frame. Their first
owner of these bifocals could keep her head up
when walking down the stairs. The disadvantage
of this system must have been the the fairly high
position and the small size of the reading segments
