This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the pics on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. All the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Sleeping beauty in the park - Caroline closes her
eyes to allow some explanation about these rare
lenses for high myopes.
When lenses in glasses become too thick to be
practicable, there are three solutions besides
contact lenses, implant lenses and laser surgery.
The early solution was "Kreislenti", glasses with
a round corrective "bowl", surrounded by a plano
or slightly positive carrier lens.
Next came the type of lens you see here, called
"Formlenti". Just like Kreislenti, there is no
transition between bowl and carrier lens, but
for esthetics, Formlenti follow the shape of the
frame.
Lentilux were developed to obscure the obvious
demarcation between bowl and carrier lens, much
the same way varifocals hide the age of their owner.
But this is not about age, it's about extreme myopia...
