Gita 019

In the late 1970's, my favourite B&B in Miltown
Malbay, Co. Clare, Ireland was run by a grand
lady called Kitty. I will never forget the great
hospitality and the enjoyable music sessions in
Kitty's kitchen. For some reason, Kitty invariably
called me Richard and then apologized for the
mistake.
Twenty years later, I entered a charity shop for
Somalia in Ennis and was welcomed by a voice
behind the counter: "Richard! How are you?".
Sure enough, it was Kitty, in her early eighties
but fit as a fiddle and true to her mistake.
I spotted these refined Atrio glasses in the charity
shop and Kitty sold them to me for a few coppers.

When Gita put on these glasses, her first comment
was that she could see perfectly through them.
These glasses are also featured in my photo shoot
with Brigitta.
