Astrid has perfect eyesight and she commented
later that modeling these myodisc glasses had
given her a vivid impression of everyday life as
an extremely high myope.
Seeing women in myodiscs was not unusual during
the 1950's. I don't remember seeing anyone in bifocal
myodiscs. The right lens in these glasses is three
diopters "weaker" than the left lens (-14 / -17) and
may well have been used for reading
