In 1966, a classmate of mine had exactly the
same glasses. Poor Eliza hated her glasses and
she only put them up when her school results
might be in danger - but she looked lovely in
them and so does Mieke. These glasses have
a slightly higher prescription than Eliza's so
they must have belonged to a different girl or
lady from Amsterdam. It makes no difference
to the sweet memory. Thanks, Mieke, for your
