Another striking portrait of Margriet in hat and Lentilux
glasses. The Rx is around -12 and the corrective "bowl"
does not reach the lower rim of the frame. I suppose
this caused some problems in adjusting to the glasses
when their first owner started wearing them. She then
ordered high index glasses before returning to Lentilux
in a higher prescription some years later. These were
the Flair glasses chosen by Mieke in her photo shoot.
Another characteristic of Lentilux can be seen in these
portraits of Margriet. For some reason the right eye looks
smaller than the left eye. In many earlier portraits with
Lentilux glasses it's the other way round. So far, I have
not discovered why. Glassy mysteries....
