started to be seen as an element in fashion.
The cat eye era is now best remembered for
its extravaganza but half a century ago, the vast
majority of glasses in the streets only had a
faint echo of the "real' cat eye glasses. Here is
a good example. Frames like this were very
popular in the Amsterdam of my childhood
