In 1973, opticians advertized a lot of double
portraits to promote their revolutionary new
frames. A model was wearing some outdated
(cat eye) frame in one portrait and some new
frame in the other portrait. These "Quadrette"
glasses by Neostyle were among the novelties
shown, so they are definitely 1973. I prefer
Lettie's portrait above the original with the
empty frame. It's the lenses that bring life
into glasses and their owners!
